Aeroplan Announces Expanded Partnership With Uber Canada

Aeroplan is happy to introduce its expanded partnership with Uber Canada. Members of the Aeroplan program can receive points for Uber Eats and Uber Rides purchases upon connecting their accounts.

Since December 15, Canadian Aeroplan members can earn the following rewards:

• 1 Aeroplan point for each $1 spent on eligible Uber Eats purchases over $25 in Canada;
• 1 Aeroplan point for each $1 spent on Uber Airport Rides and Premium Rides in both Canada and the U.S;
• 2 Aeroplan points for each $1 spent on Uber Premium Airport Rides in both Canada and the U.S;
• For every 10 Uber rides taken in Canada or the U.S, Aeroplan members earn a $20 worth Air Canada flight credit.

The partnership follows an announcement from September, when Aeroplan cardholders earned a free Uber Pass membership, as well as unlimited $0 Delivery Fees on qualified food and grocery purchases, ride discounts, and extra perks.

Aeroplan at Air Canada’s Vice President, Scott O’Leary, expressed his excitement to join forces with Uber Canada to improve the rewards program for their members. Furthermore, Lola Kassim, GM of Uber Eats Canada, says the expanded partnership is a win-win experience for Aeroplan members, as they can get benefits with every trip or meal.

Here are some additional perks brought by the partnership:

• New Uber Eats customers receive an extra 1,000 Aeroplan points on their first order;
• New Uber riders receive an additional 1,000 Aeroplan points on their first ride;
• All Aeroplan Members can exchange their points for Uber gift cards, in addition to a 3-month Uber Pass membership from the Aeroplan eStore;
• Aeroplan cardholders earn a free Uber Pass for 3, 6, or 12 months.

To connect your Aeroplan and Uber accounts, simply click on ‘Aeroplan’ in the settings of your Uber or Uber Eats app. Then, tap ‘Link Account’ and log into your Aeroplan account to start earning points.
